This dated 1970’s master bathroom went from being dark and dreary to a bright light filled spa like escape. I focused on expanding the floor plan by removing an under used closet that was located inside the bathroom. This opened up space for a two person soaker tub. I wanted to highlight the tall pitched ceilings by bringing up the subway tile the full height of the wall. This helped reflect the light coming in from one window and skylight over the walk-in two person shower. The gray slate floor tile was laid in a herringbone pattern that seamlessly transitioned into the shower. Custom glass shower walls enclose the space highlighting the tile and beautiful satin brass fixtures. To bring in the some warmth into the space, a walnut wood floating vanity was used accented with a marble top.
