Romantic, cozy, and memorable are the three words you can use to describe this fall wedding styling and design. To achieve this look, I worked with each vendor on the design to create this dreamy space in the quaint mountain town of Nevada City in California. The event space included original stone walls and a large fireplace. This became the launch point of inspiration for an evening ceremony and reception.
Lighting design was a very important feature for the event. Bistro lights were brought into the draping to create a soft glow. To enclose and create an intimate ceremony in front of the candle filled fireplace, a light wall was created with draping and bistro lights. To highlight the fireplace as the focal point in addition to the pillar candles, a large floral arrangement was placed incorporating a lot of greenery and pops of the accent color.
For the reception, the drapery wall was pulled to the side to reveal the large family style seating for dinner. We hand dyed napkins in a custom mauve pink with frayed edges for the one pop of color. A eucalyptus garland was draped down the entire length of the ‘u’ shaped table accented with brass candlesticks and ivory tapered candles. Placed card holders were made with rose quartz wrapped with brass wire that each guest was able to take as a wedding favor.
